The Baby Phat clothing line was created by Kimora Lee Simmons, the former wife of hip hop mogul Russell Simmons,
in 1998. Kimora Lee began working alongside of her husband with Phat Fashions and it was her creative vision
that helped transform Phat Farm clothing and Baby Phat clothing into the well rounded lifestyles brands that
they are today. Baby Phat clothing is a fabulous

However, she seems to be more focused on her other three clothing lines, KLS collection, Kouture by Kimora,
and her exclusive line sold at Macy’s that is all under $40. Many fans were very upset that Kimora Lee sold
her line and said that they will no longer buy Baby Phat clothing if Kimora does not represent the line.
The reasons for Kimora’s split with Baby Phat clothing is not yet known. Reasons could be financial
troubles yet some people seem to think that she may have been pushed out of the company. Whatever
the reason, according to Kimora she is very happy and actually excited even thought, “sometimes,
you’re thrown a curve ball I life.”
